huh?!

Was reading the newspaper a while ago.. woo~~~ annual wage of the CEO of NKF is disclosed!!!! 25K a month! he's the very same guy whose company pleads the nations for donation at least 10times (or is it 20? i kinda lost count..) a year. my family, without fail, makes a token donation to the NKF each time they held a major fund-raising show.
i was skeptical about the NKF all these while but i do believe they offer their help to people who needs it. but somehow the newspaper article shaken my already-weak confidence in them.

How can a man, who claims $990 for a gold-plated water tap is "not expensive", be the CEO of a charitable organization? a $990 gold-plated water tap is not expensive?! WTF!!!
tell me i'm not the only poor guy who despise this rich mofo...=X

He travels first class on business trips abeit not everytime. (maybe just once in a while to spoil himself.. while the NKF patients tries their best to save for every penny to afford the expensive-despite-being-subsidized medicial fees) oh.. the tickets are booked through the company. paid by the company.

oh.. the ever-understanding me.. of course i understand his actions! i mean..
everyone wants to be pampered at times right? especially when you are the boss of one of the most prominent chartiable organization in a country; especially when every penny of the donors' hard-earned money is pumped into helping the kidney patients in every way; especially when local/overseas celebrities look into the camera(s) with sincere eyes telling you to give up just a small tiny bit of your money to help the people who really needs the money; especially when it is YOUR company doing all these.

surely it wouldnt hurt to take out a bit of the company funds
to fly 1st class "once-in-a-while" right?

Right? *sincere eyes*

(hint: at this point, the screen flashes a row of 3 different numbers all starting with 1900-112-XXXX)

all those touching snippets of stories on how brave these NKF patients are and how tough life is for such patients... all the different stunts celebs master.. all the songs... they made you want to throw your month's saving to the people who needs it...........
HERE! have my money!!!

Until a nice newspaper article like this pops up. are the reporters reporting the truth? no no.. i correct myself. are the reporters reporting the WHOLE truth?

MAYBE he brings patients on 1st class plane trips with his own money! yay!
as yours truly have never got the opportunity to travel 1st class before, i'm not sure how much does a ticket cost. a friend of mine suggested it could be around US$800.

let's do some simple mathematics.

USD to SGD= 800 X 1.8 = SGD 1440
HIS paycheck per mth= SGD25000 / SGD 1440 = 17.3
wow! he can bring 17 patients on a 1st class flight!

est. remainder of his money= 0.3 X 1440= SGD432
if there's 30days in a month= 432 / 30 = $14.40 per day!

wow! he still have $14 per day. of course, he still needs to feed his family so i think it's a little tough on this poor guy... also, that Mercedes of his will consume lots of petrol too right? and not forgetting his wife's Audi!
(i admit i'm exaggerating but who cares! it's my blog!) damn... $25000 is really not enough!=X

let's take a look at how many kind donors it needs to settle his paycheck:

25000 / 5.20= no no! i forgot you are charged $0.20 by
Singtel (Government-owned) to do a good deed.

let's try again.

25000 / 5 = 5000

i, hereby on behalf of the CEO of NKF, thank the
4999 who paid his monthly paycheck!
(the reminding 1person is my dad. i dont think he'll be too please if i thank him for it.=X)

OH! how can i forget?!?!?!? the claims allowance allocate to the management committee of the NKF!!!! although i have no idea how much it totals to. but i guess i'll have to help him thank another at least 100 donors for their phone calls!

oh... ok.. maybe i am being biased. my view are extreme. but like i said, this is MY blog! dont read it if you dont like it. i have made my stand. i know gene will have something to say about this. i'm sorry if i upset you in any case. i'm sure there are people working in the NKF who are genuinely passionate about helping the NKF patients. i know. but reading about such articles does make you think twice eh?

you think you have something to say? post your comments under my "comments" section. or if it's short, tag! =) you never know by doing so you could be on your way to a brand new condo! or a car! or even cash! (post your commments within 5minutes of reading this to double your chances! yes! it is that easy! post now!) -sounds familar eh?

recently my headphone spoilt. a new handphone will be good. i saw a nice ripcurl board shorts.you will help me wouldnt you?
*sincere eyes*
