sibeh random ah....
here's a little update on my life:
got into Charlie Company of SISPEC... it's rumoured to be the most Xiong (read: tough) in the school, alongside Bravo company. their reputations is almost akin to mohawk and ninja company in BMTC. strangely, it has yet to live up to its reputation....
note the word "YET"...
i'm dreading their infamous out-field training. =x
all my instructors and platoon commanders(PC) are made up of regulars, meaning professional soldiers aka people who signed on with the decisive force... *note the dripping sarcasm for words in bold* which also means they really do know their stuff. not just on paper.. =)
anyway, life in Charlie company seems promising. though i know times could be hard. we might have to go through more as compared to the rest, but i know i'll come out of it all a better soldier and a better person.
my PC is 39 this year and he's taking his Diploma next year at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. by then, her daughter will be a year2 while he wil just be a freshman. how cool is that?!
i have alot of respect for him.
both as a person and a commander.
admiration.
(i'll most probably be starting my diploma studies in about 1plus, nearly 2years' time,
i wonder how would things have changed by then..)
sispec is so much more interesting than BMT as we are exposed to more weapons and explosives. i cant wait to try out the various toys shown to us! =)
also, i found that often the best will not be recognised as "the best". some truly outstanding leaders might find themselves at the bottom of the ladder, while less capable people might have been given the chance to climb up the rungs.
welcome to the real world. again.
anyway, i'm finding it increasingly hard to maintain this blog, largely due to the apparent lack of time. also, sometimes it's hard to express what i want to...
i'll try still.. =)
