long break from blogging

wow, it's like four months since i last touched this blog of mine. i supposed loads of my friends are already thinking that i've stopped blogging all together... which is true to a certain extent! i couldnt put my thoughts into words, or maybe it's just something else. (read: i'm lazy!)

well, the four plus months that i'm away from my blog, tons of things happened.

some happy; some, sadly, are sad. it's the negative events that repelled me from blogging. somehow i felt that words will not be able to justify what really happened. soooo, i'm going to start the admirable feat of putting my jumbled thoughts into singaporean's favourite: Black & White.

love-wise. 

it's no secret that my relationship of nearly two and a half years have ended. weijie is truly a great girl. However, (difficult) circumstances did not permit the continuation of our relationship. noetheless, i must say that our relationship is one which i'll never regret and will always look back at with much fond feelings and memories. despite the rough times we have gone through, i still cherish and treasure each moment that we've spent together. very much. =)

work-wise.

i started my ORD life with this apparel company called CHECK, which i quitted after 1week. it's just too superficial and the boss are not exact ideal. =x while i'm engaged in the patriotic act of serving the nation, i did have this discussion with Ziwan that i'll consider a full-time job with Seal Sports. (for the uninitiated, Seal Sports is an outdoor camp company) i've always enjoy my time with the people at Seal, be it just hanging out or running camps together. the only draw-back was the lack of financial returns. =x 

we worked hard, damn hard, which is not duly complemented by the pay. BUT work satisfaction is really guranteed! =) i love to see the kids and participants of the event/camp enjoyed themselves and, best of all, learn something positive out of their experience!

anyway, back to the pay issue. i've decided that money, while extremely important, is not exactly what i'm looking for during this period. i still can survive well with lesser money! hence, i begun the wonderful journey with Seal Sports. my brief stay of slightly over one month was great. it's the first time i actually looked forward to going to work! 

i would be lying if i said that everyday was all fun and laughter at the office; there are considerable number of days where my anger management was put to test. still, i must say i truly enjoyed my time with the company. only complain being not able to learn more for i sometimes feel that i can do more. if i know what and how to do that is. i hope and i know that i'll have more chance and opportunities to work with them. Glenn, Hua, Herman, Melvin, Shai and Aishu, among others. great people! =)

AND i came face to face with the Grim Reaper during my time with Seall!! =x While preparing for an event at Fairfield Methodist Primary School, i had to drive our company truck from Dover Road to Bedok. Shai was at the passenger seat. i didnt sleep a wink the night before and he probably slept 1hour at most. 

we both fell asleep on the expressway. 

for at least 30seconds or more, Fate was driving the truck. (Fate is not a person's name)

then shai woke up, looks over to see me sleeping like a baby AT THE WHEEL. 

he screams, i jumped, we lived.

school-wise

i've started school in Ngee Ann Polytechnic doing my Mass Communications Diploma, which makes my former junior in both RVHS and SAJC, Wentong, as my direct senior now!

due to the vast difference of a 4years age gap, i still find it hard to gel with people around me. taking into consideration that the class have only been together for hardly 2days of tutorials, perhaps i'll reserve my judgement of them for later.

and in my first day at school, my classmate came up to me and asked, "how come you look so old ah?" 

God must have sensed his room shaking unnaturally for that moment.

with regards to the lessons so far, i must say it's really interesting! former deejay danny yeo (which i remember as this character "ah ber" in a channel 8 sitcom about a tuition center in the late 90's or early 2000s, starring beside evelyn tan... remember?) is one of my tutors. the first impressions i have of all my tutors and lecturers are good! hopefully, the impressions stay that way..

the others

i watched Definitely, Maybe with my date! it's really a wonderfully sweet romance comedy! a must-watch for all couples! =) hahaz! it's a feel-good movie about this guy who goes a big complete circle to find the love of his life. seriously, this is the first time in MONTHS since i watched a movie, a love-story no less, with someone on a one-to-one basis. like i said, it's such a good movie that i almost held my date's hand as we were walking out.

until reality sets in to tells me i'm watching it with eugene. nabeh.

anyway, if everything goes according to plan. i'll be heading to Kunming, China with the company for an outdoor camp with either Fairfield Primary or Pasir Ris! can't hardly wait! =)

i've quite a relaxed timetable this semester and i'll probably be getting a temp job somewhere soon. got lobang not?
