08 came and gone.
2008 was a life-changing year for me.
4 things which really epitomes 2008:
OOOOO-ORD LOH!
i finally ended my 2 years of enslavement national service to pledge my life to protect the interest of my Nation. my pride. my motherland.
so here's a toast to the glorious 2 years of my PRIME years fucking spent lovingly devoted to my motherland.
yeah. right.
The great paper chase
it's no secret that i flunked my A's. not proud of it, nor will i mask my mistake.
made a choice to pursue a diploma of my choice at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and love it! =)
though my (poor) perception of polytechnic students remains largely unchanged, i must say that it's an awesome feeling to still make great, like-minded friends in school.
you people know who you are. =)
RRRrrrrrrrRUN!
i started taking running more seriously. alot more seriously in fact.
i invested more money into running this year than the rest of my 20 other years combined!
i spend more time with my running shoes than with my family in fact. =s
gene, weeling, fana, my running team and the great people at AC. they made such an impact along my running journey. =)
my new-found love for running made me seriously consider going to NIE to train to become a Physical Education teacher upon the completion of my diploma.
and i love running more than anything or anyone in this world.
until recently, that is.
which brings me to my 4th and last highlight of 08.
Miss Credit Suisse
by fate, pure luck or some other higher powers, while a boy and a girl weren't looking, they met and fell in love. their whirlwind romance soon blossomed into a stable relationship with the enthusiasm of a teenage couple and the maturity of a married one.
the roads ahead are not all rainbows and butterflies,
but he held her hand and asked her:
"do you believe in me?"
"yes." a soft yet firm answer.
"i believe in you too." was all the boy was managed to choke out.
they hugged and both knew.
sidenote:new year resolutions? =x
