my last day as a civilian for the next 2years
poof!
here i am. 7th April 2006. 1 day before my enlistment date. wow.. that fast. did i sleep through the last few months? O.o?
it's here. i guess it's time to face the music.

many people have asked me this before..
er.. i mean..
to which my answer will most probably be a shrug, a smile and a simple 'we'll see'. now that the "last day" have finally come. i'm about 75% into my "last day". let me reveal how i spent it so far......
i was woken from my slumber by my dad, he sort of reminded me about coming home early today so he can talk to me about army. he added some more stuff which i could not decipher in my state of half-consciousness, so like all GOOD sons, i nodded. then he went off to work.
dear came down to woodlands to meet me in the morning. we caught the movie typhoon at causeway point. quite good i would say! =) but it was so FREAKING cold in the threatre i could have sworn i saw my dripping mucus hardening into icicles on my nose... (i hope the visual created in your mind now gross you out! -p) BRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

i was really worried about my darling girl as she, unlike me who is blessed with a good old layer of thick flab, is always afraid of the cold.
if i'm freezing, then she's going to have a REALLY hard time. =(
luckily she brought her jacket along so both of us managed to survive the ice age.
ok, that aside. typhoon is really one good movie! catch it! =D

after which, she managed to get a pair of surf shorts at metro. pink! and we went off to F.I.T. office at Jalan Kilang Timor to get my paycheck! woo! no delays of pay! =)

i sent her to work after that. we sat at the stairs for some time, just her lying on my shoulders as we watch the seconds ticked past.

each second brings us closer to not seeing each other for more than a week.
soon it was time for her to head for work. time for me to go home.
time for us to say our good-byes.
man was it hard... i watched as she disppear from sight.
"goodbye dear... i love you.." i wanted so much to say again.
to me, army is not just about not being able to see each other for a week or so everytime. it's about us going into a new phrase in our lives. in our relationship.
for it could make or break us.
the future lies in our hands. i have faith in you and i believe in us.
mark my words people. =)
sidenote:
at this very moment, leong and yang are right by my side now.
mmm... lots of funny stories. yet some sad ones too.
