the giant awakes..
i simply got lazy i guess. or perhaps i no longer know how to pen down my thoughts in words. however, i better write more in the light of the decision that i will be re-taking my A'levels in the coming year...
*a collective gasp was heard from the crowds*
yes you heard me right. i'm actually going to put myself through the torture of studying for something as awful of A'LEVELS!!
*another collective gasp was heard from the crowds*
i've gotten alot of encouragement and advice from Jie, army buddies, friends, teachers, the endless aunties (friends of my darling mother) and hell, even strangers who heard about my tragic tale of how i managed to get an amazing OOF result slip, to retake my A'Levels. so i guess i'm throwing everything in this time to fight this battle against the Ministry Of
to the panel of examiners setting the papers for year 2007:

i just hope i got the discipline and drive to carry me through this....

for the uninitiated, i've already completed my trainee phrase in the army on the 6th of November.
i'm already 3SG Z H LIM...
BUT i feel that i lead a more fulfilling life even when i'm just PTE/CPL Z H LIM.

well, after my graduation i was posted to Naval Diving Unit, one of SAF's special forces unit. special forces being special forces, some have the mentality that they're one cut above most hence they like to do things "their way".
as a military policeman, a law enforcer, we were basically viewed as pesky little pests who's constantly on their asses correcting mistakes.
our relationship is something akin to that of a policeman and an illegal VCD peddler.
argh. i have so much i want to bitch about my current job but i better shut my gap before you-know-who haul my sorry ass into you-know-where for talking TOO much.
oh. by the way, my working hours are from 0800 to 1630.
i get to book out and go home everyday.
i get to run, swim, gym, read storybooks, surf the net and sleep withing these hours.
no, don't envy me. as much as this job is "slack", (mention the word "slack" to me and i'll introduce you to the business end of my rather hard knuckles..) i hate the job scope. i hate the notion of spending my remaining 1year plus of my army life doing NOTHING meaningful.
if i have to be stuck in this job. i need to do something about my life. those around me cannot accompany me all the time, i need to find another focus in my life. hence, my decision to re-take my A'Levels. i'm also contemplating taking part in voluntary work should there be an opportunity.
both eugene and myself were intending to take up canoeing classes, but due to the fact that there was no such lessons conducted near our area of residence, we were forced to put the idea on hold till a better alternative is found.

the recent weeks have been a trying period for jie and myself.
dear has been heavily involved in several events in her school, with the most recent being the national hockey competition-IVP, which is still on-going.
sometimes i feel that she could hardly breathe with all the activities she's taking part in and also the problems she have to face in those. and i have yet to start on the part about her school work.
on the other hand, things have not been all pink and rosy for me either. i face a different set of problems where my brain is constantly in over-drive.
and intelligence have never been quite my forte you see....
also, it's been quite some time since i felt so emotionally empty.
luckily, we finally managed to squeeze out the time for a long chat where we get to share our thoughts and opinions. for that i'm really glad. =)

Ms orange stick! can see?
here's an upclose! =Dsidenote:
