yang's commissioning parade!
since april, weiyang have been struck in Home Team Academy's version of OCS, after graduating from BMTC Tekong, as an Officer Cadet Trainee.
for nearly ten months, he trained and trained for the day where he can finally be a full-fledge police officer, fulfilling his dream as a teenager of becoming an officer during his National Service.
my officer in charger was kind enough to allow me to leave camp 1hour earlier than usual when i told him of my desire to watch yang's commisioning. thanks sir! =)
for the unaware, we've been friends for 11years and brothers for 10.
i went with his parents and girlfriend, sharon, together to the parade. waileong's, another friend of mine whom share the same degree of closeness with us, absence was dearly felt but due to work commitments was unable to make it to the event.
i have no wish to blog about the rather routine and mundane parade. what i wish to share with all will be some of the photos taken at the events!

the empty parade square where all is quiet...
here comes the police officers who prowl the streets at night...

the March-past...
...signalling the end of the parade.
ALAS! the sky breaks and ensuing pouring rain disrupted the parade.
