yeah, this was what manda the panda typed when she borrowed my mac in class and found that i have yet to sign out of my blogspot account. the "lacing" around my name "Zihao" is epic.

anyway, my legs are aching like there's no tomorrow for the past few days. a day after wed's training, i was supposed to do a 20min slow paced recovery run. but ended up doing anything but recovery.. here's what happened:

got on the treadmill at our school gym and started at a slow pace of 6.30m/km. then these 2 punksters got on the machines on either sides and started whacking away at high speeds. never one to be outdone, i increased the speed of my own treadmill and started going at my normal training pace. not surprisingly, the 2 punksters gave up after a few minutes. and i was hardly panting. HEH.

then this girl started running beside me at the same speed. nabeh. 

oh well, you should know what happened next... 

ended up out-running EVERYONE in the freaking gym who gets on the treadmills and did doing a relatively long distance tempo run. liew. i have an ego the size of godzilla's balls.

after the recovery-turned-tempo run, i was feeling good with an inflated ego but my legs (esp my hamstrings) are SCREAMING out in pain. =(

each slope and flight of stairs i had to ascent/descent warrant a long string of hokkien expletives from me. manda took the rare opportunity to make random digs at my slow-pace walking. bitch.

oh yes, projects galore! and i must really get down to doing them before i drown in the mess.

tomorrow's 38k run at ECP. i'll be keeping coach's words in mind: "your body is capable of doing more than what your mind tells you". 

it's all in the head.

i'm going to give it my best shot.
