camp camping camped....

mmm... been quite some time since i last blogged.. lately i found out that everytime i wanted to blog about something, once i switched on the computer, i dont really feel like blogging anymore. perhaps it's laziness or that i didnt really know how to put my feelings down in words or something else... mmm.. Food for thought...(for myself! not you! hahaz..)

ok.. perhaps i'll start with the recently concluded Sports Club Leadership Training Camp. mmm... i was the one who suggested this camp hence i took up the responsiblity of planning for it, along with the help of gene, ling and trish... luckily with the combined efforts of us, we managed to come up with a decent camp within 2 shorts weeks of preparation, with no time for dry-runs and pre-camp preparations. thank goodness nothing went seriously wrong. i'm glad we weere able to handle some small unexpected situations rather well.. =)

oh.. during the camp i guess i (along with the rest of the JC2s) really made them hate us! we screwed them on whatever occasions we can; picking on every single, tiny weeny, little, harmless, mircoscopic detail!! hahahaz... kinda bring back memories of my Scouting days as a senior.. Especially the FIREDRILL!!!! woooo~~~~~ it was the first time i actually shouted to my juniors... mmm.. was i too fierce? mmm... i thought it was ok... HEE!=p

well, there were two other camps that were going on at the same time. fitness and Overseas CIP selection camp. mmm... i dont care about fitness camp so no comments about that. OCIP... mmm.. that strucks a more familar chord....

a year back. i was one of the hopefuls in the camp hoping to get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to travel overseas for a CIP trip where the volunteers will build houses for the disadvantaged. mmm...

to cut a long story short: i went and i failed. yup i didnt make the cut and was one of the four to be booted out from the camp. it was really one of the greatest disappointments of my life, so far, when i found out that i wasnt on the list. (as i'm typing this, the memories of those events remains fresh in my mind.) yup... to be frank i thought i was pretty much a sure bet in getting in. mmm... well, obviously Someone up there had other plans in mind.. before the list was out, some campers told me that they chosen me as the expedition leader and that i'll definitely make the cut. i'm not really concerned about being in the Exco but it'll be an added bonus. but sad to say it didnt happen. i wasnt even on the team. tough luck...=x

some stuff happened during the camp which made me see someone in a different light. it was a small incident but it sort of left a lasting impact on me. i promised myself that i will NEVER talked about it, especially to those who are in the ocip team. i didnt want to seem like i was finding an excuse.

i wun say i definitely deserve to get on the team but i just thought i can help out and gain some experience. also, i'm really sure i did enough and tried my best for the camp. mmm... sigh... but i guess they have their reasons and i can understand that. moreover, i myself have rejected people during the numerous sports club interviews. some were a definite "no" while other really made me think hard before rejecting them.

what i hope is that i was a hard decision for the then-Exco and teachers to boot out.

on a lighter note, i really learnt ALOT (and i really do mean alot..) from the camp. also, i have made friends and met her. yup, it was through this camp i got to know Grace. i remember there was this time i talked about my disappointment in not making the cut. it was at Telok Blangah Hill. she said something which immediately made me feel better. much better.=)

oh well.. a year have since passed. it is now the people i know who are conducting the camp. mmm... how time flies eh? anyway, really hope shihjie will have a fast recovery. was shocked when i heard he injured his hand rather badly... throughout the camp, i was keeping a lookout for someone... she smiled at me!=DD

ok! away from sad memories of the OCIP camp! =D

mmm.... we have now officially retired after Saints Sports Club. i went home alone after the camp so i had some quiet time. i had several flashbacks of my memories in SSC. damn... was feeling kind of down and stuff. just sad ba... ='(

it is the end of the journey for us.

and the start for the JC1s.......
