a story..
recently one of my friends whom i was once close to, but eventually lost touch with after we went seperate schools, called me up. understandably, i was surprised and touched that she bothered to call! our conversion started off well and we soon exchanged some happenings in our respective lives.
the seemingly normal conversation soon took a turn for the unexpected when she start to ask me what my plans are after graduation. indicating that i have no concrete plans yet, she started talking about a possible business venture that will have guranteed returns. eager to know more, i pressed her for more information but she refuses to indulge more while insisting that we should really meet up to talk about this further.
i was curious and confused at the same time! such a good deal but she cant say so much so as the gist behind this idea? don't tell me it's Multi Level Marketing?!!?!?!?! *groans* while she didnt answer me if it's MLM upon my asking, she ensured me that it's not what i think it is.
Despite my suspicions and reservations about this matter, i trusted my friend and met up with her and her "business partner". horrors of all horrors! it turned out to be MLM distributing a health detox products! i was boiling at the fact that i was duped into coming to her "office" which is essentially a showroom located at an industrial area in the east of singapore.
in the end, i wasted nearly 5hours of my life listening to a conception i have absolutely no interest in!!!! *faints* i hate the way she baited me into something i already indicated my dislike at! during the long ride back, i finally understood why insurance agents and people in the MLM industry might find their friends startin to avoid them... sadly but surely.
