A's fever.

yesterday was an important day.
important not for myself but for most (former)Junior College students who happened to be born in the year of the dragon.

being the kay-po humans (and slack NS personnel i am!) we are, eugene and myself, after going to the largely useless Armed Forces Career Fair, headed back to our alma mater for a glimpse of the wide array of emotions and reactions as experienced by ourselves a year back.

shouts of joy, smiles of happiness and tears of regret and pain.

you could almost feel like you're being soaked by the rich heaviness of emotions which these young adults poured freely. i was hit by the crying face of a girl which i knew, i doubt she saw me but her boyfriend (a friend of mine) did utter a word of 'hi' before hastily ushering her away.

i met some of the juniors during the trip.. Michelle, jiamin, alfred, kyawkyaw (4As!), Kel ley, xin rui, liang mon, marvin, sherlyn, joyce, jiaxing, isis. and of course our S91-ers: addy, dorcas and brother jo! well.. given the limited 32MB memory stick in my head, these are all those i can still remember. =x Pity i didnt get to catch more of the juniors around (like luling, renling and bryan!).

special mention to my xiao-mei, Meiyi!!
4 subjects
2 JC years
12 academic years
18years old
endless hours of studying.......
the result?

4As

in army lingo... "hen UP leh!" =)

what dear told me yesterday night set me thinking about the "what-if"s too.
for a moment in school yesterday, amist all the wooha about the results, a sudden prang of pain cut deep within as memories came flooding back.

to lessen the hurt, i tried rubbing salt in my own wound by joking about my own set of results.
my silent laughter seemed to echo across the crowded hall.

sidenote:
i paused and look at her.
only to turn away hiding..
