confessions of a male shopper
i like shopping. yes you got me right. in fact i ENJOY it!
i can walk around for hours just window-shopping, hopping from shop to shop, shifting from shelf to shelf! a item i fancy can send my heart fluttering into the high skies but more often than not, the absurdly-high price tag often guns down my heart like an anti-aircraft rocket missile..
seriously, 60dollars for a tee-shirt?! yeah i know some tees are genuinely nice but come on... get REAL! for a 60-dollars tee-shirt, i expect a built-in air-conditioner coupled with a mini-LCD screen with 24hours playback music videos on my sleeves AND perhaps a concealed water bag to quench my thirst.
alright alright~~ i admit i'm getting a little far-fetch but you do get my point right?
sigh..
i conclude that:
most guys who dress well have deep pockets.
most who dress well with shallows pockets have seamstress or designers as mothers.
most who dress badly but have deep pockets are either misers, have bad fashion sense or married.
oh! by the way, i'm currently looking for a bag; sling bag or backpack, i'll take it as long as it looks good! =) however, i've been hunting fruitlessly for the past few months! argh..
i'm still awaiting my friend's reply on this leather Espirit sling bag, which we've been eyeing for some time, on whether his friend can get us a good discount. if the deal gets through, it would have solved my one of my many shopping woes! heh..
which brings me to a point.. i can't find any good male shopping partners! =x bernard is a stay-in COMMANDO, leong (still a CIVILIAN) is perpetually busy and i seldom call andrew (slack MP) out! the rest of my friends are mostly either too impatient to shop with me or have so different a taste from me! so if i'm not with jie, i would rather shop on my own. i know what i'm looking for and go straight in for the kill.
whenever i'm out shopping with jie, i'm always envious of the endless designer-style-like ladies tees which are affordable! HOWEVER, after trying out countless outfits and combing half of singapore, she tells me with those watery bambi eyes....
