Go Squeeze Them!

i think my title says it all. all the prices seems to be rising and it appears that the only thing that didn't even register a twitch will be singaporean's pay.

yes of course, Mr Gahmen knows what's best for us. he give us GST rebate package what! very nice already leh! it's akin to an abusive parent taking out on his helpless child, THEN give him a candy bar saying, "that was good! stop crying like a puss! i dote on you one k? na~ give you sweet!" *big smile*

let me see. i'm given 600 dollars for 2008 and here's a breakdown on how much the price hikes will affect me:

I go NTUC about 2 times per week to buy some snacks, each trip will cost around 15 dollars? 

15 X 7% GST = $1.05 .and with the price hike, i could be paying about 30cents more per week. (VERY optimistic estimation of the price hike) so that'll make an extra $1.35 per week. that's $70.20 per year.

a poor chap like me take alot of buses. with the fare hike, each trip will cost 10 cents more. i take an average of 2 trips per day. 20 cents per day. that's $73 per year.

and MRT! how can i forget?! each trip cost 20 cents more. i also take an average of 2 trips per day. 40 cents per day. that's $146 per year.

since public transport is already so expensive. i will be more inclined to take a cab when i'm in a rush. if i take cab once every 2 weeks, the price hike will mean an average of $3.50 more per trip. 26 weeks x $3.50. that's $91 per year

freaking rice are so freaking expensive! expensive rice = hawkers give less = i want more = i add rice = hawker says 30 cents extra! i eat out half the time, which means 183lunches and dinners. a total of 366 meals. granted that i don't add rice all the time, say i add rice to every 2 our of 3 meals i have. that means 244 x 30 cents. that's $73.20 per year.

MOVIES! now tickets at $10 during weekends. but i try not to watch movie during weekends which makes the price increment to average about 1.50 dollars per ticket. i watch an average of 2 movies per month. that's $36 per year. ($72 if you're buying for your other half)

fast food increase price! for the 122 meals i don't add rice to, i'm tempted to eat at fast food restaurants instead. each meal means a 50 cents increment. 122 x 50 cents. that's $61 per year.

clothes, an extremely rough estimation of spending $30 per month, with 7% GST which means $2.10. that's $50.40 per year.

all these already adds up to $600.80 (but i failed my maths in A'Levels so you might want to double check the figures). that's already 80cents of my own money required. AND i didnt even do a more in-depth calculation of my expenditure!

and for those who complains i'm getting more than you, let's me explain the reasons to you morons: I live in a smaller house and i've been enslaved for 2 best years of my primetime.

i say it's easier getting into a 70 year old virgin's pants than Mr Gahmen's pockets my dear.
